and thanks to bibi, his royal highness (that’s me - the owner of this site) has gotten a couple of free domains at CO.CC : Free Domain Name service, which he used as an url forwarding service. it is FREE. so, go on and grab it now.

well, if anyone wants to or plans to do some cybersquatting, it might be tough. co.cc has already did their fair share of the necessary homework to prevent these setups.

and oh, his royal name is expensive. they (CO.CC) kindly requested him to pay for his named domain. dots… hence, his royal highness couldn’t register his first name for the domain. damm it!!! in fact, co:cc says

it’s actually priced at $ 206 / yr !!! LOL, he alway knew his name was good. he didn’t know it was expensive too! 206 bucks (that’s in US dollars. ouch!!!) might be trivial to some. for a poor student, it’s sky rocket. but hey, the pricing is leagues higher than the domain name for superstar robbie wiliams who is priced slightly lower =). so does that mean his royal highness is much more famous than robbie williams? perhaps =)

that aside, bibi has also very kindly sponsored some free web space from her server, not to mention, assisting in the database setup that was very much needed for wordpress installation files. kudos to her and more!!!

and here’s some housekeeping business. since this is a new wordpress blog, DO expect lots of theme changes. at least until his highness is satisfied (which is almost never) with it. secondly, to proof-read most sensitive blog monitoring agents from listing this blog as PG, or Rated sites, his royalness will no longer use triple X’s to represent an event break. instead, ‘***’ or ‘—’ will be used. ‘***’ to represent major jump breaks, ‘—’ to represent subsections.

next, the new wordpress.org agent refuses to accept any file export that exceeds 2 mb in size. thus, old entries from blogger beta and wordpress.com will not be imported into this blog. alas, do not worry. old entries will be keep in their respective urls and linked here (check the ‘.histories’ header in the links section). we do need our histories, don’t we.

without our histories, we are nothing.

now, if there is time, it’s time to close the ancient wordpress.com blog and focus the time in this domain. not to mention the upcoming projects due dates, the setting up a decent homepage (that will definitely link itself to here) will almost never take place.
