and piggy thought that her newly upgraded microsoft office 2007 was simply too much of a hassle to be worth her continued usage. and his highness fully agrees with her. and so, she has downgraded back to the good old microsoft office 2003 with his help the other time.

the ribbons clicking in office 2007 has drastically reduce the speed that operations could be performed. furthermore,  the consolidation of tool buttons into one drop single bar has made choosing options more of a drag. to someone who has been following microsoft office from the 95 to the 2003 days, it’s a nightmare come true. where did the once “you can see all the options in one glance” go? oh no…

secondly, the fact that office 2007 made uses of docx, xlsx formats to match up with web2.0 and a possible web 3.0 makes it incompatible with its previous user friendly office 2003 predecessor. in the past, the file format was still the same and users of a different era could still open most files of a newer format with minimum hassles. let’s not forget microsoft 2007 drains more precious ram when those fancyful stuffs (thrashy add-ons, beautiful graphics, etc.) aint’ required for powerhouse users who simply demands good speed and their usual apps functions.

download the microsoft office 2007 compatibility pack file formats from its offical site now. it allows office 2003 users to “open, edit, and save documents, workbooks, and presentations in the file formats new to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007″. in his royalness’ royal opinion, it’s definitely a MUST have download.
