his highness heard about this song from the taiwanese variety show 我猜我猜我猜猜猜. elva was the special guest in one of the segments, and she sang this song titled 冲动 as an opening to that particular segment.
elva’s voice coupled with the salient meanings from the lyrics makes this song so great! well, as least that what his royal highness thinks. considering it would probably resonate with what some people are feeling in certain stages of their life.
there are certain phrases that are quite true.

the original version is sung by 高娜. and many claimed that the version supposedly sung by fiona in 新不了情 was really in fact a dub or voice over. at least wai yin thinks so too.
but… who cares? his highness won’t rather see fiona in an mv than some oldie singer… the thought that someone who is now probably in her 50s or 60s seems to spoil the mood of the song and the hong kong drama (新不了情) that this song is aired from…
[edit] this version IS sung by fiona. his highness has compared it to the original version and find it vastly different. fiona can’t even speak mandarin a few years back, as her result, she still sound a little funny when she does mandarin pop singing.

this song is one of the theme songs from the hong kong drama, 新不了情.
fiona sang the song in a slightly different manner than the original version sung by 陈淑桦.
it’s true that the original singer has more power and strength as compared to fiona. but as every one knows, original singers come from an entirely different era, bringing along their oldies style of singing. on the other hand, fiona who was brought up in an international school has more exposure. her singing shows different experiences in the musical areas.
considering she knows french singing, mandarin singing, speaks cantonese, her singing brings a more vibrant spirit and a slight rappy style to each starting phrase…
